ACCES Cementation Workshop: Displaying Ancient Egypt
Thursday 20 March 2008
Bristol’s City Museum & Art Gallery
Queen’s Road
Bristol
BS8 1RL
There seems to be a flurry of new Egyptology galleries, with many either just opened or in the planning process. The philosophy of the new galleries is often very different from that of the galleries they replace, and designers and curators can now use a wide range of AV, digital and interactive equipment. How can all this be combined into something that visitors will enjoy and learn from?
This workshop will look at the ideas behind some of the new and planned galleries, covering a range from small regional to large university collections.
